What is PostRope?
“Post”(Ship/Mail/Send) “Rope” (Catch/Grab/Buy). Postrope is a new social marketplace introducing an easy way to buy things you can’t get from where you are. When the stores won’t ship it to you. Get it shipped by the community. How often do you find that perfect item online, add it to your cart and by the time you get to shipping details you realise that the store doesn’t offer international shipping? And then you go and find that same item in your own country, but the local store is more expensive than the international store? Or even more frustrating, that item isn’t available in your home country at all. With PostRope, you can put out a request, or ‘Rope’, to the PostRope Community to help you source the item you require from anywhere in the world, either from an online or physical store. You then select the best offer and have it shipped to your door. Our goal is to connect the PostRope Community of ‘Ropers’ and ‘Posters’ to remove barriers to global shopping, and giving ‘Posters’ the opportunity to make some money! We want to build a Social Community where people all over the world help each other to buy what they want, where they want, when they want.
Is PostRope open to anyone?
Yes, PostRope is open for the world, you can use PostRope as long as you have a valid Paypal account. You still need to be over 18 years of age to be part of the Community.
What items can I request, or Rope, on PostRope?
Before listing your item make sure you understand if there is/are any specific rules and conditions that apply to international shipping of your item. Make sure that items are not prohibited and restricted. Refer to our website Terms and Conditions for more information. It is also your responsibility to ensure that you item complies with all local laws, importation and tax requirements. If your listing does not comply with these guidelines PostRope has the right to remove your listing and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including restriction or suspension of your PostRope account.
How do I trust a Poster to send me the item that I requested?
All our transactions take place using PayPal Adaptive payment System and PayPal offers buyer protection on all transactions.
If there is any issues with the transaction, You should raise a dispute at the dispute resolution centre.
As part of all PostRope transactions Ropers and Posters are required to leave feedback on each other which includes feedback on the actual items sent and received. This feedback system helps to keep our Community honest.
How do I change my password?
You can reset your password here you will receive an email with a password reset link.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account please email account @ postrope.com requesting to delete the account. We'll send you a reply once account is closed.
How do I change my account settings?
You can update all your details in the settings page found in main navigation once you're logged in.
What are PostRope’s fees and charges?
Becoming a member of the PostRope Community is completely free. PostRope charges a flat fee of USD$2 on a successful transaction.
How do I make payments and what currency?
All payments are done securely through PayPal and in USD. If you currently don’t have a PayPal account, You can open an account at https://www.paypal.com
I think I have a PayPal account, But I don’t remember my PayPal ID?
Your PayPal ID is usually the email ID you use to login to PayPal. For more information please refer to PayPal help.
What items can I list to get shipped?

How do I edit or delete my listing?
You can edit/delete a rope by clicking on the “Edit Rope/Delete Rope” links on the rope detail page. Please note, you cannot edit the Rope after your receive offers however you can delete a Rope even after you receive an offer but before you've made a payment.
Can I request multiple items in a Rope?
Currently this feature is not offered, but we plan to include a multi item Rope function in the near future!
How do I notify the Poster that I’ve successfully received the item?
Once you have received the item update the Ropes status within the Dashboard to Received and make sure you leave feedback.
How do I make an offer to ship the item, and what happens when I make an offer?
The offer can be made on the listing details page by clicking on “Offer to Post this item” and enter the required details i.e. Item cost, shipping cost and your fee. The person receiving the offer will just see the total figure.
After you made the offer the user requesting the item will be sent an email notifying them of your offer. If they choose to accept your offer they will make a payment via PayPal and you will receive an email notifying you that your offer has been accepted and there was a successful PayPal transaction. At this time you will also be sent the Buyers address and details for shipping.
Can I withdraw or change my offer to ship?
Yes, you can edit or withdraw your offer prior to offer being accepted. We suggest you to put in the comments when you editing the offer to call out the differences in the offers.
How do I notify the buyer that I’ve shipped the item?
Once you have shipped the item update the Ropes status within the Dashboard to Shipped. You will now be able to enter in the shipping details including tracking number.
